Code Of Conduct Empty Code Of Conduct

1. Ineffable Gaming Profile

Please keep your forum and Xbox Live usernames the same. This allows other members to easily add you to their friends list.

All members are not required to have a IGC tag but anyone that does so we greatly appreciate the support (i.e. IGC Keeno).

If you want to support us in another way have the website in your XboxLive Bio would be also greatly appreciated:  N/A

2. Game Nights

Platoon/Company/Battalion game nights are an important part of our community. It is the best way for new members to connect into the community. While they are not mandatory to attend, it is strongly encouraged that each member makes an effort to show up for their company game nights. We understand that there are conflicting schedules and not everyone is able to make the nights their company plays. That’s OK! Each battalion has several game nights that a member can attend.

For LT's, Captains, SeIGCeant Majors, and Majors, it is mandatory to host a weekly game night for your platoon/company/battalion. The game played must be from the supported games for that battalion. If an officer is unable to host a game night that week, they must inform their commanding officer (i.e. a Captain would inform their SGM or Major; a Major would inform their Colonel).

3. Departure and Withdrawal

Member Departure - Members of the rank Major (MAJ) and below are free to come and go as they please. If they choose to return to IGC, they will start out at the rank of Recruit. The manner in which a member departs IGC will determine if they are allowed to return.

Leadership Departures - A Colonel, General, or Warlord who retires is allowed to return at their previous rank at any time, with the majority approval of the current leadership team (Colonels, Generals, and Warlords).

The manner in which a leader was retired and their conduct after retirement will determine if they are allowed to return to a previous rank by the leadership team.

A leader who retired and joined/created another clan will return as a Recruit.

4. Community Relations

A member in the IGC rank structure will not be in another clan/community rank structure. (PS4 & PC clan/communities are the exception to this rule. Example: being a leader in a World of Warcraft guild etc.)

Members are allowed to be a member on another community’s site, as long as they are not causing problems or joining their rank structure. Members who choose to disobey this rule will be stripped of their rank and, depending on the severity, removed from IGC.

Members who join another community WILL NOT post IGC information, screenshots, or IGC related material on said community. If a member is found to be posting IGC material on another community's site, said member will be permanently banned.

IGC is not in competition with any other community.

That being said ... as a member of IGC you will:

- Never make a negative comment/remark about another community on any forum.

- Never poach from another community. (Poaching is stealing or persuading a member of another community to join IGC).

- Never post in another community's recruitment thread.

- No member of IGC will participate in a forum aIGCument on any website under any circumstance. IGC leadership DOES NOT CARE WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE.

- Any member found breaking these rules will be permanently banned without warning.

5. Joining IGC

All members are required to have a working headset and microphone, Xbox One, one of the games we support, and an Xbox Live Gold membership. Please be advised that IGC does not consider "shouting at a kinect" a microphone.

A member must be at least 16+ years old, emotionally mature, and log activity on the forums at least once every fourteen days.

6. Creation of in-game guilds, tribes, clans, clubs... etc.

No member will create an in game guild, tribe, clan, club or anything similar using the IGC name without direct consent from a Warlord.

Anyone who violates this rule will be asked to remove the IGC name.

Failure to comply will result in a permanent ban.

7. Transferring Battalions

A member wishing to transfer to a different battalion may do so once every three months.

If a member wishes to transfer Battalions more than once per three month period, the member must have a valid reason and it must be approved by the Battalion Majors, Colonels, and General.

Members will NOT be allowed to just leave useIGCroup and join another - a formal application must be submitted.

If a member drops from their battalion without submitting an application for transfer, they must wait two weeks before formally submitting their transfer application to a new battalion.

Warlords can approve/disapprove any special case transfer.

8. Poaching

Poaching will not be tolerated. Poaching is a form of "stealing" or "recruiting" a member from another community's rank structure to their community.

If a member of the website is found poaching, they will be subject to a permanent ban from Ineffable gaming.

9. Battalion Regulations

Battalions are approved to make additional rules/regulations for that battalion. However, there will be no excessive rules, rules that conflict with established IGC rules, and/or additional punishments beyond those already established by IGC leadership.

All Battalion policies must be approved by the Colonel and General over said Battalion. Any Battalion policy seen as a violation will be investigated and the required action(s) will be taken to make sure that Battalion policies meet guidelines.

10. Chain of Command

For Community health and efficiency, it is essential that members know and practice the Chain of Command. Each member is responsible for knowing the rank structure and who they need to be reporting to and connecting with.

Ineffable Gaming is not a democracy.

Members are responsible for following the directives of IGC leadership. Directives are not optional. Each step in the rank structure adds more responsibility and concurrently, more authority. Any leader that abuses this authority will be dealt with swiftly and sternly. Any member that decides they do not want submit to the authority of IGC leadership is free to game elsewhere.

11. False Members

No member is to register on the site for another member. This includes signing up for friends. If a potential recruit is on Xbox Live, this means they have access to the IGC website (one way or another). If a member is in violation of this rule to either: get their referrals up; make themselves look better; and/or win a recruiting contest; the member will be subject to a permanent ban from Ineffable Gaming and all its subsidiaries. Other circumstances may be viewed less harshly but will still carry consequences.

12. Member Complaints & Consequences

Should a serious incident arise that a member feels has caused them undue distress, a formal complaint may be made to your battalion Colonel through a private message. The complaint will be kept anonymous by IGC leadership as the matter is investigated. Petty disputes should be resolved by members themselves in an appropriate and mature fashion. If a member has a formal complaint to file with someone in rank Colonel or above, they may send a formal complaint to IGC Keeno.

Any member who disobeys or violates one or more regulations will be subject to one of the following consequences:

Warning - A warning makes no substantive changes to a members community position. The member in violation will receive a private message from an IGC leader detailing why they are being warned. It is up to the member to change their behavior so that further action is not required.

Infraction - An infraction is given if a members conduct is severe enough to warrant action, but not severe enough to warrant permanent banning. If a member receives two infractions, they are banned from the community. If a member has received an infraction and the leadership team finds fault with any of their behavior, they may be banned without warning, regardless of whether the behavior would normally be given an infraction or not.

Ban - A ban is permanent and results in the total loss of privileges and forum access for an IGC member. If a violation of IGC forum rules, honor code, and/or code of conduct is serious enough, a ban may take place without any warnings or previous infractions. If the banned member is deemed toxic to the community, IGC leadership will ask its members to block the banned member on Xbox Live and elsewhere.

13. Microphone Etiquette

As a member of IGC, it is important that you are courteous and respectful to your fellow members. This shouldn't need to be detailed but it has become a problem such that we need to address it as a community.

Please refrain from:

- Yelling into your mic.

- Having conversations outside of the party with a live mic.

- Chewing into your mic.

- Vaping into your mic.

- Playing loud music.

- Talking over others in your party.

The above list is not comprehensive. Please use common sense and be sensitive to others in your party. The simplest way to avoid poor mic etiquette is to simply mute your mic when you know that you're going to be doing one of these things. We all need to eat and talk to family during gaming sessions - that's not a problem! Please just do the polite thing and mute yourself before doing any of the above actions.

While we understand that all members have bad mic etiquette from time to time, consistent violators may be subject to disciplinary action. Member complaints about etiquette will be taken seriously.
